So Who Am I?

Hey there! My name is Natalie.

 

I'm from California and living in Texas with my partner Will and 2 dogs Riley and Maya. 

 

Rewind a few years ago, I was in high school and my dad was asking me what I was going to do once I graduated. 

 

I wanted to do the "right" thing and something he would be proud of. 

 

He worked so hard as a mechanic to support us and I knew he dreamed of me doing something more.

 

So I did a few Google searches about the best jobs. 

 

My mom did administrative work in a hospital and it sounded good to help people.

 

So from the list I identified "Physical Therapist" as my new goal.

 

Everyone was thrilled that I would go to college, be in healthcare and even become a DOCTOR (of Physical Therapy)

 

I also thought about this career as something that would be good for my future family. 

 

One thing I was definitely sure of was that one day I wanted to be a mom.

 

 

So I go to college in Texas (half way across the country from my family for independence) and LOVE it. 

 

I enjoyed the flexibility of doing classwork and then going to the rec center. 

 

Meeting up with friends (and my boyfriend who I later married) throughout the day. 

 

  Keeping up with my studies (physiology was hard but I made it!) 

 

My final semester was to be full time at a clinic. 

 

I would have a glimpse into my everyday life for the next 40 years! 

 

And boy, was that an awakening. 

 

It was repetitive (aka boring) and stressful. I was quizzed every day on the spot.

 

It really wasn't my strong suit or something I even liked let alone love 

 

And I'm supposed to want to do this for 40 years?!

 

I was so stressed out about deviating from the path everyone approved of

 

My shoulders were TENSE. Doctors described it as "rock solid"

 

But when it came down to it I knew in my bones that I didn't want to spend more money on a masters degree just to do something that looked good, but that I didn't enjoy. 

 

I graduated and entered the work force as a customer service rep. 

 

This was where I learned it wasn't just an issue with physical therapy. 

 

But in ANY job I didn't love: 

That I couldn't take breaks and see friends 

That I only had 2 weeks out of the whole year to myself - often choosing between out-of-state family visits or trips where I could explore some place new 

They asked a lot of me, 120% every day, but was I being compensated for all that extra effort?

 

What was it all for?

 

I also knew this life wouldn't support me well when I would become a mom - my ultimate goal

If I were working for someone else at that point, I'd either:

have to sacrifice time with my kid to work 

or put our finances all on my partner 

 

Neither sounded like good options

 

I heard of women using the online space to make good money 

AND have the flexibility that allows for being mom.

 

I tried a few different things like Virtual Assistant, Bookkeeping and Amazon Selling. 

 

The pitfall with those was I didn't really have anyone giving me direct mentorship to succeed.

 

It wasn't until I found Digital Marketing that I found my home. 

 

And why is this different than anything else I've tried?

Marissa never knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up.

 

She went to college, got a degree, and wanted to use her degree SO badly.

 

She found herself in a career where she was not only miserable and Burnt Out

But also crying every single day.

 

 In the last 3 years she went from unfulfilled & confused to confident, passionate, and killin' it online. 

 

She's retired herself and her fiance from corporate forever

created a multiple 6 figure online business

and has traveled around the country, living the life of time, financial and location freedom! 

Brodie came from a conservative family who didn't take many risks.

 

For work he found himself in construction working really hard.

 

He was making some money but doing backbreaking work.

 

He saw other older construction workers still in the same place trying to provide for their families.

 

Battling health issues due to being in that environment for many years.

 

And wondered if that was really the future he wanted.

 

He dove head in to online business because he needed something different.

 

Now he is no longer part of the trades

making his money online,

traveling when and where he wants with his girlfriend

and sharing his knowledge about the online space here!
